I said, it's been a long time since I rock and rolled.

Well, it's ben over nine months since I've updated. So here we are. The following is a sentimental journey through these past nine months. As is often the case, picture posts this large can easily become cumbersome, and the fine line continues to seperate an unfortunate lack of commentary from an unfortunate over-abundance of it. I will do my very best to make this fresh, exciting, and worth your time. So, to set the stage, let's begin with a compelling title for this post. How about:

Epic Life-Changer 2007
Legend of Nine Months

翻訳: ひさしぶり だなー、みんな様。 拙者の九ヶ月の冒険です。見てみよう。

伝説的な生命変更2007
九ヶ月の伝説

Oh, and by the way, please click on any of the following pictures for a wonderful enlarged version. Wooo!

First of all here are a few people that I miss, though there are many more.

Allen, Danny, Douglas, Jimmy! Where is my band when I need you most??

So let's start with hunter and Kendrick coming to visit.

We saw the ocean, went to the game store, at some wonderful food, climbed Mt.Fuji.

We wore awesome clothes, praised our God, took care of babies, and were blessed beyond our wildest dreams.

These guys changed diapers, rapped, became friends with all, and Kendrick passed his test of courage (so did Hunter.)

At the Hanabi Taikai everybody looked cool, as lightning crashed, bombs went off, and later Hunter cut his hair.

Even I looked cool for a few minutes. Tim drove my sweet, SUPER fast car.

Kendrick and U-chan were quick friends. Meanwhile Akihiro passed out, and the little girls continues to be little.

Shachah blew us aways as usual. Jason made a beard out of his fresh-cut mowhawk. きもい!

I had a tooth-ache? Jason shaved 中国 into his head. Elisa and Ericah were cool. So was Ben.

Katie and Tim were heroes this summer. Leland was the greatest black-guy-named white guy I've ever met. And then everybody took a picture.

Deder valiantly led Shacah into victory, never missing a beat. Ben and Hunter prepared for the climb of a life time at the foot of Mt. Fuji. And Ben's hair became awesome because of it.

My dear friend Megumi, who has always been so kind. And my dear dear friend Sarah Gordon. Te-chan continues to look cool. The power of Micheal Jordon was passed down to Hunter.

My brother and my pastor. Not sure about the next picture. Micah... yeah. Micah. Ando, post-haircut.

Ando pre-haircut. It's amazing what long hair will do to you. Hunter and Tim had a sweet hair day. Then Hunter led worship for us all summer.

The hat had many owners.

Alot of hot, sweaty nights, with open windows, smelly t-shirts, live concerts and big muscles.

Micah の手作り炭酸。Shacah after a riveting performance. Hunter and Ken talking to somebody?

Lew starts to shake things up. Deder made that classic face that we all love. The happy Gunawan couple.

Mattie tore into the popsicle like it was no problem. Cool guy team. Cook skating.

Skip ahead to winter. We went to Fuji-kyu Highland. And we took some sweet pictures.

It was cold, expesensive, and it was so sweet.

My room-mate Erwin busted his face open on this ice skating rink. Joe is still here. We made a sweet slide at church. Haha!

And then Youth Camp came. The presence of God was so strong, so wonderful. We worshipped with a freedom and passion that was... well there aren't really adequate words.

Jonathan was there. He's going to be a sweet 伝道者 one day. Then Maki got toppled.

Youth Camp 2007 was the jam.

We played games that were impossibly hard. And the best part was that participants were required to wear my headband.

The Hayashi brothers and I led excercises before worship. It was sweet hardcore-oriented-excercise.

An intensive futon-battle took place later that night. Brandon got clobbered. Then Ricky looked cool. There's my aunt Ako.

Two of my best friends in Japan, Toichi and Te-chan. Then Micah and Akihiro were in front of the sweet fireplace I built at church. Then Sarah became a wise-man, and the church girls became shepherds and angels.

Marie and Micah had a sweet conversation. I love Joe, and Daidogei was awesome.

My best friend in the whole country, Akihiro, and my big sister Catherine's birthday. It was at this point that Joe learned how to use a keitai and Jason got an incredible Golden Mowhawk
.

Elise is one of the coolest people alive. Emma survived the chicken pox, I was skinny, and Matthew and Travis were hilarious as usual.

Manami-chan was so precious. There's Sarah once again. And KEN-CHAN!!

Micah and Ericah. Two of the coolest girls I know. Me and Ericah were taking care of business.

Jason Gordon. Tori came to Japan too. She looked like this pretty much everyday.

You know, everyone really hates my headband, but I thought it was great. Guess what happend next? THE CLAW!!

Joanna Fowler was SO cool that she started to bleed while playing piano at Youth Camp. Then Michelle (aka Santa) stopped by the house. It was huge.

We went to Ando's house, but I can't remember what for. Me and Nao-chan got sweet matching glasses because it would have been uncool to not do that.

Hahaha.

Ando pretty much go the best shirt ever for Christmans. Joe enjoys the Yomiyuri Shinbun. My room is awesome?

Jason, the fireplace I made, and BABY-BATTLE!

We ate dinner and the POW we were at the Hillsong United concert in Tokyo. It was an incredible experience.

We worshipped and so did the other 2000 people there. Huge Huge Huge.

I look like Jafar in the first picture. This is where we waiting outside in the rain for the show. Then there's Maki and Michelle on the train with us.

I went to Akihiro's college. It was so sweet. Then we built a super sweet stage for the church.

It was AWESOME. We had a costume party at my kindergarten class. I was ラーメンの王様。

My studen played my bagpipes. It was awful.

I've built a few cool things since I came to Japan.

Sweet sliding door cabinets and stuff.

Yep. That's for you, Pop.

Akihiro and I rescuced the Crawfish from certain doom. Then I found BubbleMan Heaven.

Me and Jason used another mowhawk to make grat beards. Gomihachin is the place to BE.

I taught the little girls at church how to use "Meteor" during Rock, Scissors, Paper. Ken and Joe when they first came.

Only Catherine can play mario and feed a baby at the same time. Haha what a cool girl.

Happy birthday Shu-chan! He's living it up in America now with his family! And don't forget Masa.

My sweet big brother Ando. 天さん came to see Shacah. I love that guy.

Ako jammed out. Then Hunter and Elise decided to get married.

Beard city. Shouyou Highschool. Kerry. And Jay with glasses. Kakkoii ne?

That was just a portion of the pictures. If you made it this far, congratulations. I not sure who still uses Xanga, but for those who do, I hope this was a blessing to you.

So to close, I would like to give God the glory. What an amazing life He's given Me. These pictures represent just a drop in the bucket of all the blessings in my life. Maybe being gone for a year now, I'll never be able to catch all of you up to speed on what Jesus has done and is doing in my life and in Japan. But I'll make the best effort I can to share it with you. I can't wait to see all of you for a few weeks in May. So much more to say... but it will have to wait until a later date. In the mean time, enjoy the picutres, leave me a comment. God bless all of you.

Well, well... how did another 2 months slip by? Hmmm.... regardless, here are a few points of interest:
  1. The Gordons have gone to America for a wedding, and thusly, I have been here in Japan, mostly by myself. No babies, just English classes, household repairs, sleeping, studying, and various other tasks. Less than two weeks now until they return.
  2. I don't normally do this, but having taken only a few pictures lately, I decided to flesh out the post with some pictures from my friends' Xangas. minna gomen na!
  3. June 2nd was my 1 year anniversary in Japan. =)
  4. Jesus is blessing us on all sides! Praise God!
  5. Oh, and I bought a car.
Now that the news is covered... ikou ze!

Prior to the Gordons leaving, it was babies, babies babies. Shu-chan finally went to his new home! samishii ne.

It rarely gets cooler than this.

Spend too much time alone, and you start to get a little wacko...

When I told Akihiro that he was going to be in the cabin without a bathroom at camp, this was his response! Ha!

The Shimizu church is rocking once again. After Shizuoka church, we went to Ten-san's house in Shimizu where their church is currently meeting. Awesome people ne.

This classic photo was on Ten-san's xanga for a while.... ore raion mitai yo!

Olivia came back to visit with her new family! Arukeru yo ne!

Cool church homies Naomi-chan and Megu-chan at Easter!

oishikatta ze. sore nani aji no? pineapple? chotto oboetenai.

=D     sooo good to see my dear friend. hee hee!

kowai kore?

These pictures really remind me of Danny Ladner. Go, Danny, Go!

Well, we all knew it was going to happen later... Stitch and Angel finally got married!

Oh, and by the way... how would you like THIS guy to pastor your wedding? Come to Japan, and we'll make it happen! Ore wa bokushi ni nachatta!

I sure do miss the kids.... chou samishiku natta. aitai yo ne.

I had the best birthday ever. Except for throwing up twice in the bowling alley bathroom. Whoops! Hahaha.

Akihiro tried to make origami out of a wet towel. Hahaha.... thanks for trying.

I managed to make a bat... or a bear... or... nani soreee? koumori ka kuma ka... kinoko?

I used my suido shovel to block Akihiro's lightening attack, but it accidentally hit Ten-san in the face! Hahaha Ten san no kao ni Akihiro no inazumasakuretsuhisatsukougeki (hahaha!) wo ichatta ne. gomen na!

We had a cool prayer meeting with Ten-san and his ultra-cool family! Yatta!

Keep it real, friends. God bless you all. Keep praying! It's working!
inotte kurete hontou ni arigato ne minna! inottete kudasai!

Yosha!

I'm not dead!

Well, it's well on 3 months since I've updated.  I've no doubt whatsoever that there are some of you who, by this point, are wondering whether or not I'm still alive. Well, the truth is that I am alive and I'm enjoying life more than ever. Praise God. I suppose I should catch all you up to whats happened in the story thus far.

ore no hanashii wo kiite.

But before I knew it, it was time go. kyoudai sayonara. otousan sayonara. kazoku sayonara. kaizoku sayonara hahaha. (goodbye family, goodbye pirates!)

It wasnt long I was back in the Land of the Rising Sun (that is Japan, isn't it?)

I've been taking care of this little guy! His name is Yoshimichi! He'll be adopted soon! I'll miss him.

Hahaha not really the best picture available... yabai...

Sarah-chan and her cool cooking outfit! fushigi ryorinin!

Cool neighborhood of Karase! This is the neighborhood the Gordons live in, and the place that I work. Pray for our neighbors.

Ericah and Elisa. Sweet friends. Praise God! tomodachi!

Speaking of Ericah, we accidentally dressed identically one day. Seriously!

Enjoying a night at Saizeryia with Akihiro, Micah and Ericah. Oishikatta!

Mmmmmm Melon Soda. meron souda ga dai suki yo! umeeeeeee!

Two of my English students took me to Nihon Daira to see the cherry trees! sugoi kirei na sakura!
Pray for these ladies. We've shared the gospel with them over and over. Sweet ladies.

Anybody want some NYOBI GUMLAR? huh...?

Baby Olivia (a.k.a. Hannah) finally got adopted. We miss you, sweetie! God bless you!

You're never too old to enjoy Minna Dai Suki Katamari Damashii! Even Hatsue learned how to play! dou suge!

hahahahahaha!

Shuki is finally off of his oxygen machine! He's going to his adoptive parents soon. Absolutely incredible. Praise the Lord. Amen!

This is picture is for Deder. =) kawaiiiiiiiiii jaan!

Don't forget about keeping it real. No matter what language you read it in, He always speaks to you in a way that you can understand. Amen to that! Hallelujah!

And so, to fill in the gaps that the pictures couldn't... I'm still taking care of orphans and kids, still waking up early and going to bed late, still sharing the Gospel, still building cabinets and shelves, still praising God, still learning about life, still growing.

I met a homless Japanese old man today in the underground part of the city when I was downtown today. I stopped and talked to him in Japanese, and gave him some money, and told him 'God bless'. He bowed low when I gave him the money, but he bowed even lower when I told him 'God bless you.' How sweet is that. Everybody pray for him. I hope I meet him again. I think we would be great friends. Homeless people are awesome. Mmm.

I love you guys. Pray for me.

Waking the Dead: The Glory of a Heart Fully Alive

Well, I figured I'd squeeze another post out of the old xanga. Yoush.

     New music.
I hope you like it. The previous song was by the Okinawan band called Ketsumeishi. I think the actual title of the song was Tomodachi, which means 'friends'.

Here we go:

I won't be buying a pet here anytime soon...

No, that's not just people hanging out in the kitchen. By the grace of God we somehow manage to have 6 or 7 people all cooking at the same time on a regular basis.

Just one of EIGHT amazing cups of onions. The whole house was in tears. Colour Revolt t-shirt.

Mattie definately knew what he was doing.

You know, I slaved over the pie crust for the pies at the missionary meeting, and it turns out that nobody ate a single bite of the pie. Hahaha but I mean that's kind of a lame thing for me to complain about.

Such a blessing to be in the same country as Deder for the past month.

Ladies and Gentlemen... Dr. Lewis Schilb, better known as Ruisu Shirubu Sensei. This was right after a traumatic hour of trying to get a bead out of Emma's nasal cavity. WHAGTHEHL!!

Babies love baths, and I love giving babies baths! Livvy was enjoying herself. =)

If worshiping God isn't epic, I don't know what is. Whoa!

=)

Ericah no Densetsu.

You've GOT to be kidding me. It's dang joke receipt case. Just what I've always never knew existed. It even has a drainboard of a bottom(?).

She fell asleep at Donkihote.

My friends are faithful as always to photograph me sleeping. At a missionary meeting, no less! Nechatta ne.

Micah doesn't really hate me. In fact, I'd venture to say the actually enjoys my company. But she's always cool in my book.

At church, on Deder's last day at home in Japan before she returns to Jackson for school.

ore no okaasan da.

Oh, how I'm going to miss this little girl when she gets adopted. I have loved her all the days of her life.

KAWAIIIII

HAHAHA Akihiro no Gaiden.... with a mouthful of curry.

Me and the ladies.

Seinaru Higeken Hisatsu Kougeki. That's the face you make when you pretty much have 0% left to give. But oh, how the Lord gives us strength to keep on rockin.

Over and out.

God Bless.

WOW! Pray for missionaries. Seriously.

ted out.
